Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Globelink International Trading and Services, we strive to provide fast, reliable, and secure shipping solutions. This policy outlines our shipping methods, timelines, and delivery conditions for Air Cargo, Sea Cargo, and Door-to-Door Services.
1. General Terms
All shipments are subject to customs regulations of both the origin and destination countries.
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control, including customs inspections, weather conditions, or transport delays.
Certain items are prohibited for shipment — please refer to our Prohibited Items List before sending cargo.
2. Shipping Methods & Delivery Times
2.1 Air Cargo (UPB & Gift Cargo)
UPB Cargo (Same Shipper & Consignee): 7–10 days from loading date (Air cargo terms)
Gift Cargo (Different Shipper & Consignee): 7–10 days from loading date (Air cargo terms)
Collection available from designated warehouse locations.
Additional charges apply for oversized items such as TVs, fridges, washing machines, and cookers.
2.2 Sea Cargo (UPB & Gift Cargo)
UPB Cargo (Same Shipper & Consignee): 30–40 days from loading date.
Gift Cargo (Different Shipper & Consignee): 30–40 days from loading date.
Collection available from Worldwide Trigo Cargo (PVT) Ltd, Sri Lanka.
2.3 Door-to-Door Service
Delivery direct to recipient’s address in Sri Lanka.
Estimated delivery: 10–12 days from loading date.
No bill charges, minimum weight 20 kg.
3. Delivery Conditions
Oversized & Fragile Items: Additional packing charges apply. We will not be liable for damages if packing service is declined.
Delivery Attempts: If the recipient is unavailable, our team will attempt delivery at a later time. Additional charges may apply for re-delivery.
Customs Clearance: For Door-to-Door service, we handle clearance in Sri Lanka. For other services, customers may need to complete clearance formalities.
4. Shipping Charges
Rates vary by service type (Air Cargo, Sea Cargo, Door-to-Door).
Charges are calculated based on weight (per kg) or volume (per cubic meter) for sea cargo.
Additional handling charges apply for special items.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Provide accurate and complete shipment details.
Ensure all items are packed securely and comply with customs regulations.
Declare any high-value items at the time of booking.
